Bangalore is an education hub and the city has many good schools. This guide introduces parents to some prominent schools in Bangalore. The purpose of the guide is to give parents moving to the city a structured perspective about schools in Bangalore.
We have shortlisted some of the popular schools in the city. The schools are categorized by their affiliations to different boards: CBSE Schools, ICSE Schools, Karnataka State Board Schools, International Schools, NIOS Study Centers and Alternate Education Schools. All schools are listed in alphabetic order. There is no ranking of the schools.
Within a category, we have attempted to choose schools which are well-established, have good infrastructure and are either holistic or known for excellence in one field (e.g. Academics, sport, co-curricular). We have also tried to pick schools based on geographical location within the city, some in North Bangalore, and some in South Bangalore and so on, for convenience.
It is important to mention that there are many more good schools which have not been listed in this eBook as we have picked only a limited number of schools for each category. All efforts have been made to include current and authentic information. This guide is meant to serve you as a starting point in your search for a good school for your child.
